Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled CA barred attorney with a strong background in civil litigation and/or document review to support our client on a contract basis. This role involves working onsite for one week on a complex trade secret matter, requiring precision and attention to detail and completing the review on a remote basis. The position is based in Los Angeles, California, and offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in document review. A technical background in engineering or the sciences is helpful though not required. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough document reviews to identify relevant information for a trade secret case. - Utilize eDiscovery tools, including Relativity, to manage and analyze case data. - Assess the relevance of documents in accordance with case requirements and legal standards. - Collaborate with legal teams to develop strategies for handling sensitive and technical information. - Ensure compliance with civil litigation procedures and deadlines. - Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the review process. - Provide insights and recommendations based on document findings. - Address technical aspects of the case, particularly in relation to trade secrets. - Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards during all phases of the project. - Stay updated on best practices and advancements in eDiscovery and electronic discovery tools. Requirements - Active license to practice law in California. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation and document review. - Proficiency in document review processes and tools such as Relativity. - Strong understanding of eDiscovery and electronic discovery practices. - Ability to assess document relevance accurately and efficiently. - Excellent analytical and organizational skills. - Experience handling trade secret matters or technical cases is a plus. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.
